Senior Financial Analyst

Health In Tech ("HIT") is looking for an enthusiastic, driven, and hard-working full time Senior Financial Analyst. This role will be within the finance department. This exciting role will challenge your ability to multi-task and solve problems efficiently in a fast paced entrepreneurial environment.

Primary Duties Include

• Prepare monthly and year end general ledger entries
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements for variances and identify business trends
• Manage invoicing processes for multiple business units
• Prepare and maintain general ledger account reconciliations
• Assist with preparation of budget and financial forecast
• Assist with annual financial audit
• Ad-hoc reporting and projects as required
• Provide ongoing support to other on the finance team

Qualifications

• Experience working in the insurance industry
• Stop loss health insurance knowledge is preferred
• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field
• Professional accounting designation (CPA) or working towards designation
• Minimum 5 years of related accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of full cycle accounting and accounting principles
• Experience using QuickBooks accounting software an asset
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• Extremely detailed oriented, productive, and efficient
• Effective at managing numerous projects/tasks of varying complexities, meeting deadlines, and working well under pressure
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Self-Driven and goal oriented with the ability to work autonomously and collaborate effectively in a team environment
