Responsibilities

• Serve as a customer industry advocate with a focus on improving the customer experience by understanding their risk and offering the best end to end solution for their insurance needs.
• Analyze data and forecast future costs based on conditions revealed in experience underwriting.
• Utilize a disciplined approach to exposure evaluation, risk assessment and pricing.
• Identify gaps and aligns Health in Tech's products and value to offer a solution that provides the contract certainty the customer needs.
• Administer and monitor underwriting rules and guidelines, insurance laws and regulations, and rating manual rules

Required Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance or related field is not required but usually associated with required skills
• 1 - 2 years of group or medical insurance underwriting experience
• Strong analytic skills
• Strong working knowledge of excel
• Possess knowledge of time constraints for quotes on new and renewal business
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong knowledge of underwriting philosophy, techniques, national/local filing regulations and guidelines
• Familiar with experience-based underwriting
• Strong understanding of current diagnosis codes and health conditions
• Strong understanding of forecasting, numbers, and statistics
