Financial Controller

Health In Tech is currently seeking an experienced and strategic-minded Financial Controller with specialized knowledge in insurance accounting and technology to join our team. This pivotal role will be instrumental in driving financial excellence and ensuring compliance in our fast-paced, publicly traded environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the day-to-day financial operations, including accounting, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, with a keen understanding of insurance-specific accounting principles.

Manage the preparation of financial statements, SEC filings, and other regulatory reporting, ensuring compliance with insurance industry standards and regulations.

Leverage expertise in insurance technology to streamline financial processes and enhance reporting capabilities.

Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations, including GAAP and SOX, with a focus on their application within the insurance sector.

Lead and mentor a talented finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance in both finance and technology domains.

Develop and implement robust internal controls and processes to safeguard company assets, leveraging technology solutions where applicable.

Drive strategic financial planning and analysis to support business growth and investment decisions, particularly within the insurance sector.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred.

[10 years] of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles, with at least [5 years] in a public company environment and a deep understanding of insurance accounting practices.

Extensive knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, with a focus on their application in the insurance industry.
