Financial Accounting Specialist

Health In Tech ("HIT") is looking for an enthusiastic, driven, and hard-working full time Financial Accounting Specialist. This role will be within the finance department. This exciting role will challenge your ability to multi-task and solve problems efficiently in a fast paced entrepreneurial environment.

HIT is a rapidly growing disruptor in the healthcare industry. HIT provides a platform to show initiative, learn new skills, and experience different facets of the business operations in the insurance industry.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Prepare monthly and year end general ledger entries
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements for variances and identify business trends
• Assist with preparation of budget and financial forecast
• Assist with annual financial audit
• Manage invoicing processes for multiple business units
• Prepare and maintain general ledger account reconciliations
• Ad-hoc reporting and projects as required
• Provide ongoing support to other on the finance team

Qualifications

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field
• Minimum 5 years of related accounting experience with 2+ related to medical insurance or reinsurance
• CPA or working towards one is a plus
• Experience using QuickBooks is a plus
