Company Overview: Health in Tech is an industry leader in stoploss health plan management committed to delivering excellence and innovation. We are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist with proficiency in NetSuite to join our finance team.
Position Summary: As an Accounting Associate with a focus on Revenue, you will manage the TPA relationship, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and ACH pulls. You will collaborate with various departments to maintain effective financial operations. Experience with NetSuite is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and verify TPA invoices, ensuring timely and accuracy in funds being drafted from the policy holder.
- Import banking files designed to draft funds from policy holders and submit payments to TPA for distribution.
- Reconcile policy holder plan year records.
- Prepare and process payments, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers. Act as cashier role for AP Specialist to ensure segregation of duties.
- Assist with month-end closing by preparing accounts payable reports and reconciliations.
- Support the financial team in maintaining accurate records and documentation of transactions.
- Collaborate with internal departments to address inquiries related to TPA invoice discrepancies.
- Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation as requested.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with TPAs and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- 7 years of experience in accounting.
- Proficiency in NetSuite is required; experience with other ERP systems may be considered.
- Strong understanding of GAAP.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping is a must.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
